When people (namely my Mom) ask why I spend so much time with my favorite games, this is my explanation.
You view them as these non-stop, violence filled, button mashing games. To me they are the best stories in the world. How many times have you read your favorite book? That’s what Mass Effect and Dragon Age are to me- a story you just have to live again and again.

Shepard’s funeral.
This is one of my favorite pieces of fan art ever.
It just makes me want to cry. They all just look so…heartbroken.
I’ve had it saved on my computer for a long time and no longer remember where it’s from. If someone does know who did this I would love to credit! It’s just great.

Same here. Mass Effect has also opened my eyes to outer space. Everything about space flight and exploration is fascinating. My senior thesis involved early space race history (the lead up to Sputnik I). It’s kind of crazy what one video game sparked.
